Turquoise is a strong and vibrant color usually associated with the ocean. It’s a shade often used by those that want to stand out, either because of its powerful nuance or because it reminds us of precious stones or trees. In either case, turquoise is a very beautiful color and lots of designers choose to take advantage of its radiant beauty. You can use it in interior designs, on fabrics or on accessories and in a variety of other combinations. Here are a few examples.
1. Turquoise kitchen island.
Some kitchen islands are just too beautiful to be ignored. In this case, in particular, a turquoise color was used as a accent color. In this case the island is similar to a piece of art so it was painted in mirror white to further highlight its beauty. Then a turquoise shade was used for the rest of the décor, including the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the countertop and even the texture and pattern on the wood.
2. Turquoise bar.
This is a beautiful example of a color that matches beautifully with the dining room. In this case, the décor is traditionally elegant and all the colors used are muted, quiet and not very bright. The turquoise color chosen for the walls is a very beautiful and refreshing shade, not overly bright but neither too dark. The balance between the colors is perfect.
3. Turquoise fireplace.
Fireplaces usually have decorative designs. They are also meant to make the décor stand out and to create a unique atmosphere. This fireplace has a minimalist design, with a black and white stone surround and it fits perfectly in the décor. It complements wonderfully the black and white décor and it uses it to create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.
4. Turquoise and blue bedroom.
This bedroom is very bright and refreshing. It features turquoise as an accent color and it sits on a white surface, a transitional shade. It was carefully chosen to stand out and to become a focal point for the décor. It nicely integrates into the décor because of the color and pattern and because of the simplicity of the design.
5. Turquoise bathroom.
Bathrooms are usually not very big and airy. They are often just a large space that needs some extra space. In the bathroom, on the other hand, results in a fresh and clean interior. This example features a white bathroom with an interior that carries over the main color used for the walls. However, because of the turquoise wall, the atmosphere is more romantic.
