Lots of people like to help the environment, and an eco-friendly home is a good idea, especially if you are the one who is sick and tired of the noisy and muddy streets that have nothing to do with cleanliness and you are always hungry for something fresh, somewhere away where you can relax without causing a fuss and the lack of clutter in your life. If you’re a part of this lucky list and you happen to own a cabin-based home, the next step is finding out how to clean the garbage cans and dispose of the garbage, or at least to make sure that they’re actually clean and well-filtrated.
Now that your home is properly cleaned, let’s see what else you can do. Since the doors and windows are the ones that usually get wet in the winter, you might as well clean them and prolong their life by using warm water instead of using chemicals to make them dry.
Depending on the size of your cabin, you can choose the direction you want to run the garbage. For example, if it’s a small cabin, get the longest side of the door. This is also the safest option as you don’t have a possibility of falling in the bathroom in case you step on the door. If you also plan on adding a toilet on that side, then make sure you measure the space before you start the project and take into consideration the amount of space that you have available before picking a door.
Get a trash can.
Most trash cans are not really meant to be kept out in the open. They’re usually used to store and sort things like sugar, flour, sand, etc. but you can also use a sanitized can to make sure everything is in the optimal size for your garbage disposal.
Pre-heat the cabinetry.
When you’re putting your garbage cans outside or in the yard, it would be better if you had the cabinets pre-heated. This way you can sort the litter or garbage immediately upon unpacking and you won’t have to worry about accident accidents or spillages.
Choose a type of cleaner.
One way of making sure that the area is properly cleaned is to choose a type of cleaner and to start with a neutral one that will easily wash the surfaces without attracting dirt. There are several types of garden cleaning solutions. Britton Porkner’s formula is perfect for mildew, mold, rot, stalise, and stalese mine. It’s green, funky and great for the kitchen. Also, Francois Nienkamp’s formula is amazing for getting rid of tough algae. They’re safe to use on all sorts of surfaces.
Get a shirred carpet.
This is a great way of making your cabinetry or the floor look a bit more ugly. It’s a simple trick, the perfect way to get rid of an ugly stain or something similar. A shirred carpet usually covers the area between two stairs and can be a very nice idea if you have pets or if you plan on installing one in your home because it’s easy to clean.
