This residence is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and it has a very interesting interior design. It’s a residence that was built for a family that enjoyed spending time outdoors. The clients requested a simple house that would allow them to enjoy the outdoor area and that would also preserve the character of their original home. They wanted the house to be modern and to have lots of visible windows and natural light.
Because the clients were a big fan of modern and simple homes, they liked this one with a strong industrial feel. They liked the contrast between the old brick and the new steel and their preference for natural materials with a simple but interesting geometry. They also liked the large windows and the fact that the house was organized on three levels. On the ground level there’s an interior gallery, a pool, the lounge area and a rainy zone. The first floor contains the bedrooms. There’s also a rooftop terrace with an exposed beam and skylights.
The steel facade that covers the front of the house is made of perforated panels that can be operated manually from the inside. They include automated color-changing technology that allows the house to change the color according to the sun’s movement across the day. This beautiful single-family home is located in Cascatinha, Brazil.
